Are you our next product engineer?
We seek a visionary software engineer passionate about crafting exceptional digital products that deliver great experiences and value to users.
As a Product-Minded Software Developer at Reodor you will be part of a team responsible for bringing a product from an idea to a successful solution. You are a fast mover, always looking for how you can deliver the right solution at the right time to the market. You will lead software teams and engage in hands-on development working full stack. You are self-sufficient, needing minimal intervention to solve problems assigned to you. You can work outside of your own domain, contributing to gathering customer insights, design, and business strategy. You will work closely with the CTO on a day-to-day or week-to-week basis, depending on the needs of the project. In your work, you will play an important role as a team member in cross-functional project teams, collaborating with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions.
With your background and passion for technology, design, and product development, you have gained experience through several years of work (2-5 years as a software engineer). You have a strong understanding of software development principles and practices and are pragmatic in the tools you use. You have proven experience with running production-level applications and addressing a variety of technical challenges. At work, you have shown interest and contributed outside of your core expertise, involving yourself in areas such as product management, UI/UX design, and overall product strategy. We highly encourage people with startup experience to apply.

The process and what to expect
At Reodor Studios, we believe in a transparent and thorough interview process to ensure we find the best fit for our team. This outline is designed to give you a clear understanding of what to expect, how to prepare, and who to reach out to if you have any questions. We want you to feel confident and prepared every step of the way.
1. Initial application and resume screening
Submit your resume and a cover letter highlighting your relevant experience for product development. If your application fits with the job description, you'll be contacted for the next steps.
2. Short conversation with the CTO
A 20-minute phone call with the CTO. You'll discuss your technical background, experience with software development, and interest in Reodor. This is also an opportunity to ask initial questions about the company and the role.
3. Case interview with colleagues and leaders at Reodor
This interview will dive into two different aspects of the job as a software developer at Reodor. The first is your savviness as a software developer through a case study / homework. And the last part is about how you view the world of product development, and how you can contribute outside of your core discipline.
- Technical case study: A discussion about your approach to the home assignment, the decisions you made, and any challenges you faced.
- Product development discussion: Conversations with peers about your experience with product development, UI/UX design, and how you integrate customer feedback into your work. This will also cover your approach to teamwork and collaboration.
4. Cultural contribution and work approach
In this interview, you'll have a discussion with a senior team member or co-founder to understand your alignment with Reodor's mission and values. This will focus on your personal and professional values, work ethic, and long-term goals. Additionally, there will be an in-depth conversation about how you approach your work. You'll discuss past experiences where you demonstrated initiative, problem-solving, and leadership in your projects.
5. Final Interview with the CEO
This interview involves a conversation with the CEO to discuss the company's vision, your potential role, and expectations. This is also an opportunity to ask any final questions and get a sense of the company's direction from the top.
6. Reference checks and offer
Reodor will contact your references to confirm your work history. In this step we look to verify what you told us checks out. If everything does checkout, you will receive an official job offer.
